Laurenţiu Calciu, DocumentaryFfilm Director

Laurenţiu was raised in Bucharest. When the Revolution came in 1989 he
was a maths teacher. Soon after, he got hold of a VHS camera and started
filming the new democracy emerging in the Bucharest streets in 1990, with Rupert Wolfe Murray.
Portraying real life on film was his passion and he decided to pursue it professionally. In 1991 he was admitted to the National Film and Television School in UK, where he was awarded a Post Graduate Diploma in Documentary Filmmaking.

Horia Măruşcă: Film Director and Editor
Horia has edited most of the films shot by Laurentiu Calciu: The Land is Waiting, Openfellas, Roma'le, Earthquake!, Little Farmers). In addition, Horia has directed a series of documentaries on child protection for one of our British clients: The Children's High Level Group. He has also directed several project documentaries for DFID, the UK Government's Department for International Development, and facilitated the production of scores of other films (as a fixer).
Horia holds a degree in Journalism and Communication Studies from the University of Bucharest, where he learnt video editing, photography, and graphic design. Add a good working knowledge of computers to the recipe and you’ll understand why Horia is always busy.
Working on something mentally (and visually) stimulating is what Horia considers essential for getting up from bed each morning with a smile. Something he managed to do till now, both personally and professionally, and he hopes to keep doing in the future.
Maria Farcaş, Copy Writer & Creative Innovator
After studies in languages and literature, Maria Farcaş quite
accidentally stumbled into the tempting and deceiving field of
advertising in which she never made a career. There followed a
courageous resignation and three years of extensive traveling,
sprinkled with writings about fascinating places, some soul-searching
and occasional odd jobs in far-off countries.
Presently, Maria occupies herself with a variety of jobs within Productive, from article writing, translating to assisting in the production of documentary films. In parallel, she is involved in making the buzz around Rozalb de Mura, a new cutting edge Romanian fashion brand. Maria is also part of Liste Noire, an interior design group intent on beautifying spaces and adjusting them to the greatness of their owners. Her latest project involves the setting up of an online vintage clothing store: www.dearhunters.ro
Maria was never enthusiastic about making future plans and as it turned out they have often been overthrown by a totally surprising reality. Nevertheless, she will definitely stick with the Productive team on their way to becomimg a well-known documentary film and PR company. The future includes extensive traveling as an arts ambassador for Romania's Cultural Institute and escaping the atrocious rental market of Bucharest.
